  The tour circular is valid as of the date it was published, 19.01.2026. Circulars published on later dates for the same tour invalidate the previous circular.

Important Information About Flights Tours

  • On flight tours, all procedures related to flights are subject to the provisions of the airline contract.
  • Cancellation insurance does not cover air transportation.
  • A tiered pricing system is applied; the advertised prices are those starting from the lowest class.
  • Economy class flights are used in flight tour programs.
  • Airline tickets are issued as a round trip together. If the outbound flight is not used, the return flight also becomes invalid in accordance with the airlines’ “sequence of use” rule. Therefore, participation only in the return flight is not possible.

All museum, archaeological site and national park entrance fees are the responsibility of our guests. At museums and archaeological sites where the Müzekart is valid, our guests may obtain a card from Müzekart sales points before or during the tour in order to benefit from its advantages.

Our package tour prices include hotel accommodation, transportation and the excursions specified in the program.

Rest Stops

Breaks are taken at rest facilities along the route. Due to crowding, renovations or similar force majeure circumstances, rest stops may be changed provided that they are equivalent in terms of service quality and location.

Extra Tours and Program Flow

Night tours and extra excursions included in the tour program are organized depending on the number of participants and the availability of the assigned staff. Extra tours conducted en route may take place even if not all guests participate. Guests who do not wish to join the extra tour will be directed by our guide to rest areas before the city entrances or to city centers. In this case, guests who agree to wait at the rest area are deemed to have participated in the tour.

Due to weather conditions, road conditions or similar reasons, the guide may make changes to the program order (daily points of visit or between days) if deemed necessary.

Go-Turkey cannot be held responsible for points that cannot be visited despite being included in the program due to force majeure circumstances (weather conditions, road conditions, crowding at points of visit, etc.) or because guests fail to comply with the timings given by the guide.

Health Notification

Our guests are required to carry with them reports and information regarding any health problems they may experience during the tour, pregnancy status or medications they regularly use.

Accommodation Information

The hotel names specified in the program are the preferred accommodation facilities. Hotels may be changed depending on availability. Upon request, information about the hotel where guests will stay will be shared with them no later than 48 hours before the tour departure. If the hotel is changed due to crowding or force majeure circumstances, provided that the standards remain the same, our guests will be informed by Go-Turkey representatives.

Recommendations

GEORGIA (BATUMI – TBILISI) BORDER CROSSING INFORMATION

  1. Entry into Georgia is possible only with a new-type chip-enabled Republic of Türkiye Identity Card or passport. Old-type identity cards are not valid.
  2. The chip on identity cards must be intact and not broken, cracked or excessively worn. The chip on the back of the identity cards must be checked.
  3. All guests, including babies and children, are required to have new-type identity cards with photographs. The Georgian authorities do not accept identity cards without photographs.
  4. The tour company is not responsible for border crossing problems that may arise due to deformation, damage or the absence of a photograph on identity cards.
  5. For guests under the age of 18 to enter Georgia, both their mother and father must be present with them.
  6. If one of the parents is absent, a notarized consent letter must be obtained from the parent who is not present.
  7. If both parents are absent, a notarized consent letter from both parents is mandatory.
  8. It is mandatory to obtain a fee stamp for entry into Georgia. The fee stamp can be obtained at the Sarp Border Gate, and its cost is paid by the guests.
  9. According to Georgian laws, no medication is permitted to be brought into the country. Legal action may be initiated against persons carrying medication.
  10. For same-day entries, only one medication, needed for use during the day, may be carried without its box and wrapped in paper.
  11. To bring alcohol, cigarettes and similar products from Georgia to Türkiye, guests must have stayed in Georgia for at least three days. These products are not permitted to be brought in during same-day entries.
  12. Seasonal congestion may occur at the Sarp Border Gate. Therefore, an early departure from the hotel in the morning or a late arrival at the hotel in the evening may be necessary.
  13. Foreign-national guests who entered Türkiye with a passport must have a multiple-entry Turkish visa in order to travel to Georgia and return to Türkiye.
  14. Entry requirements for Georgia may vary according to the visa agreements between Georgia and the country that issued the passport or identity card.
  15. Citizens of the TRNC may enter Georgia with a Republic of Türkiye identity card if they entered Türkiye with a Republic of Türkiye identity card.
  16. TRNC citizens who entered Türkiye with a European Union passport must obtain a multiple-entry visa in order to return to Türkiye.
  17. All guests must follow the guide’s instructions during border crossings.
  18. Border crossing procedures are entirely under the control of the official authorities of Georgia and Türkiye, and the tour company cannot be held responsible for any delays that may occur.

THE JOURNEY EXTENDING FROM THE BLACK SEA TO THE CAUCASUS

On the first day of our tour, we will be ready at Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 06:00 in the morning with our new type of chip-enabled identity cards and begin preparations for our journey. After completing our baggage and ticket procedures, we arrive at Trabzon Airport around 10:00 on average following our journey on the scheduled Ajet Airlines flight departing at 08:15. We meet our vehicle waiting for us at the airport exit gate and begin the day with our guide over an extra Black Sea breakfast prepared with local flavors, an indispensable part of the region. After our breakfast break, we head toward the Sarp Border Gate by following the Black Sea coastal road. As we complete our customs crossing, the natural beauty of the region accompanies us on this journey where the green meets the blue. Once the border crossing procedures are completed, we step into Georgia and, after a short journey, arrive at our first sightseeing point, the Makhuntseti region. We visit the historic Makhuntseti Stone Bridge, built by Georgian Queen Tamar Mepe, and then take a short walk and a photo break at Makhuntseti Waterfall, located in the heart of lush nature. Afterwards, we visit an authentic wine house where we can get to know more closely the wine tradition, an important part of Georgian culture. (Adjarian Wine Hause, entrance fee 20 Georgian Lari). Guests who wish may taste and purchase world-famous Georgian wines here. After our break, we continue toward Batumi city center. During the walking tour we will take in Batumi city center, we also have the chance to taste kvas, fresh pear juice and Italian-style ice cream, indispensable flavors of Batumi’s streets. Guests who wish may have lunch by tasting Georgian delicacies. We have the opportunity to get to know the city’s multicultural character and the traces it has carried throughout history. Orta Mosque, the Clock Tower, one of Batumi’s symbols dating back to the Ottoman period, Piazza Square with its architecture reminiscent of European cities, the Government Building and the Theater Building are among the structures we will see. As we stop in front of the Astronomical Clock and observe time from a different perspective, St. Nicholas Church and the Statue of Poseidon reveal the city’s religious and mythological richness. Seeing Hotel France, where Nazım Hikmet, one of the important names in Turkish literature, stayed for a period, adds a special meaning to the tour. After seeing the Palace of Justice, which draws attention with its inverted-bottle form and modern architecture, and the White Restaurant in the shape of an inverted building, we move on to the Old Port area. We listen to the impressive story of the Ali and Nino Statue, symbolizing love and time, and then experience Batumi’s evening magic by watching the water shows presented with music and lights. In the evening, guests who wish may join the extra Batum Georgian Dinner Show. After our tour, we go to the restaurant where the Georgian night will be held. “During our Georgian night program, we will enjoy a pleasant evening accompanied by traditional Georgian dances, indispensable elements of Caucasian culture, and select delicacies from local Georgian cuisine. We wish all our guests a pleasant and entertaining evening during this colorful and fun night.” At the end of the evening, we return to our hotel and retire to rest after this full day, blending Caucasian culture with the opposite shore of the Black Sea.

FROM ANCIENT KINGDOMS TO SOVIET TRACES

On the second day of our tour, after having breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we leave the Black Sea coast and begin our journey toward the interior of Georgia. Following a route via Batumi, we arrive in Kutaisi, one of the country’s important centers throughout history and its second-largest city after Tbilisi. This pleasant journey, accompanied by green valleys and mountain views, allows us to become closely acquainted with Georgia’s natural landscape. Upon arriving in Kutaisi, we take a brief tour of the city center and begin exploring the structures that reflect the historical identity of the region. We then visit Bagrati Cathedral, included on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List and considered one of the most important examples of medieval Georgian architecture. This magnificent structure, which has borne witness to kingdoms and faiths for centuries, stands before us as a powerful symbol of the Georgian Orthodox tradition and the country’s historical continuity. We then turn our route toward Gori, the city where a figure who left his mark on 20th-century world history was born. We will take a short extra lunch and rest break at a suitable facility along the way. In this city, known as the birthplace of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin of Georgian origin, we visit the Stalin Museum. During our museum visit, we have the opportunity to see the modest wooden hut (Stalin’s House) where Stalin was born in 1878 and spent the early years of his childhood, along with his personal belongings and documents shedding light on his political life. In addition, the private Pullman carriage used by Stalin on his official travels, reflecting the grandeur of the era, becomes one of the most striking parts of the visit. This stop allows us to witness not only Georgia’s ancient history but also its more recent past. Following our museum visit, we leave Gori and head toward Mtskheta, regarded as the heart of Georgian history and Christianity, as well as the country’s former capital. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this sacred city is home to the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, built in the 11th century, which we visit. One of Georgia’s most important religious structures, this cathedral is believed, according to the Georgian Orthodox faith, to be the place where the sacred robe of Jesus Christ is kept and holds great spiritual significance for the country. During our brief stroll through Mtskheta’s stone streets, we explore small shops where we can find local handicrafts, traditional Georgian sweets, and souvenirs. For lunch, we recommend trying the simple yet delicious local snacks of Georgian cuisine. After our tour of Mtskheta, we continue once again toward Tbilisi. We then set off toward Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi. Stretching along the Kura River, this pleasant city welcomes us with its multilayered character extending from the past to the present, at the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures. Upon our arrival, in the evening, after viewing Shota Rustaveli Avenue panoramically with our guide’s commentary, we provide ample free time for dinner at Freedom Square. After this enjoyable day, we proceed to our hotel to rest.

FROM ANCIENT CAVES TO HOLY CAPITALS

On the third day of our tour, after having breakfast at our hotel in the morning, our first stop in the capital is the Chronicle of Georgia Monument (Chronicle of Georgia), one of the most impressive monuments of the modern era, depicting Georgian history through epic reliefs. At this open-air monument, where Georgian kings, saints and historical events are depicted on gigantic columns, we learn about the formation of Georgian national identity accompanied by our guide’s explanations and take a photo break with a view of Tbilisi Sea. Afterwards, we visit the Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral, one of the largest religious structures in the Caucasus. This magnificent example of Georgian Orthodox architecture is regarded as both a religious and national symbol. As we examine the cathedral’s interior and exterior architecture, we learn important details about the beliefs and traditions of the Georgian people. Continuing our program, we return to Tbilisi City Center and have a short free-time break for lunch. After our break, we begin an enjoyable tour where we will enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Tbilisi. During the cable car ride offering the city’s most impressive views, as we watch Tbilisi from above, the curves of the Kura River and the urban fabric where the old and new intertwine are revealed in all their beauty. After our cable car ride, we see the Mother of Georgia (Holy Deda/Kartlis Deda) Statue, one of the important symbols of Georgian national identity. This monument, holding a wine glass for guests and a sword for enemies, symbolizes the hospitality and fighting spirit of the Georgian people. Immediately afterwards, we visit Narikala Fortress, one of Tbilisi’s oldest defensive structures. From here, we take unforgettable photographs of the unique views accompanied by the red-tiled roofs of Old Tbilisi and the Kura River. We proceed to the Old Tbilisi (Old City) district, which fascinates visitors with its wooden-balconied houses, narrow streets, sulfur baths and historical texture. During the walking tour we will take with our guide, while photographing the Clock Tower, we also witness the city’s multi-layered history extending from the Persian, Byzantine, Arab and Russian periods to the present day. We explore Meidan (Square) Bazaar and its surroundings, one of the liveliest and most historic areas of Tbilisi. We allow free time for you to shop among handmade souvenirs, magnets, local products and objects reflecting Georgian culture.  In the evening hours of our excursions, guests who wish may join the additionally organized Georgian Dinner Night program. The most beloved flavors of traditional Georgian cuisine are served accompanied by live music and energetic Caucasian dances. We bring our full day to a delightful close with this special evening, during which we will experience Georgian hospitality and entertainment culture up close. Guests who do not wish to attend the Georgian night may have dinner independently in Tbilisi. We return to our hotel and retire to rest.

FAREWELL TO TBILISI PANORAMIC VIEWS, THE OLD CITY AND GEORGIAN CULTURE

On the fourth day of our tour, after having breakfast at our hotel in Tbilisi in the morning, we complete our trip to Georgia and begin our return journey to Turkey. As the Kura River, originating from the Kars plateaus and bringing life to the lands of Georgia and Azerbaijan, accompanies us from time to time, we head towards Borjomi, one of Georgia’s most important tourism centers. We take a short break in Borjomi, located at the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains and known for its lush nature and world-famous natural mineral waters. Here, guests who wish may have lunch at an extra charge, purchase the region’s famous natural mineral waters, and experience the city’s peaceful atmosphere up close. After our break, we continue our journey. While traveling along one of the important routes of the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan Pipeline, we pass through the city of Akhaltsikhe, where Abkhazian Turks live in large numbers, and arrive at the Posof Türkgözü Border Gate between Georgia and our province of Ardahan. After completing our passport and customs procedures, we enter Turkey following a short shopping break at the Free Shop and continue our journey towards Kars. Upon arriving in Kars, we begin our city tour. Accompanied by our guide’s commentary, we see Kars Castle, Kümbet Mosque, the Stone Bridge and the Harakani Tomb panoramically. After receiving information about Kars’s historic texture and stone architecture, we have a short free time in the city center. After our free time, we visit our store where we can purchase the famous Kars Kashar cheese, Gruyère cheese and other local products, which are among Kars’s must-haves. After a presentation and tasting of Kars Kashar and products unique to the region, we complete our shopping and head to our hotel. In the evening, together with guests who wish to participate, we attend the Caucasian Night and Minstrel Contest program, where we can get to know the local culture more closely, taste regional delicacies and watch Caucasian folk dances. We spend an unforgettable evening accompanied by minstrel contests, one of the most important traditions of Kars culture, and enjoy entertaining hours with the captivating performances of Caucasian dances. Dinner at the hotel where we will stay tonight is not included in the tour price. Guests who do not wish to participate in the Caucasian Night program may have dinner at their own expense. On the final day of our tour, after having breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we begin an unforgettable day in the history-filled lands of Kars. Our first stop is the Ruins of Ani, one of Türkiye’s most impressive historical legacies. The Ancient City of Ani, which once served as the capital of the Bagratid Kingdom and developed as an important trade center along the Silk Road, has been known throughout history as the “City of 1001 Churches” due to its magnificent structures. During our tour accompanied by our guide, we learn about Ani Cathedral, Surp Krikor Church, the Ebul Menuçehr Mosque, Great Bath dating back to the Seljuk period, and the historical city walls, while taking photographs accompanied by the impressive view of the Arpaçay Valley. Following our visit to Ani, we return to Kars city center and visit Kanlı Tabya, which serves as the Caucasus Front War History Museum. At this important museum, which bears the traces of the Ottoman-Russian wars, we learn about the struggles experienced especially during the 1877–1878 Ottoman-Russian War and the First World War, and see artifacts that shed light on the region’s recent history. Following our visit, after an optional lunch break at our restaurant in Kars featuring local dishes, we depart for Sarıkamış. In Sarıkamış, which draws attention with its unique nature surrounded by pine forests, we visit the Sarıkamış Martyrs’ Cemetery, where we will witness one of the saddest chapters in Turkish history. Accompanied by our guide’s explanations, we commemorate the sacred memory of the thousands of soldiers who gave their lives for their homeland and experience deeply moving moments at this meaningful site. Following our visit to Sarıkamış, we continue our journey toward Erzurum, one of the most important cities of Eastern Anatolia. Upon arriving in Erzurum, we first visit Stone Han, commissioned by Rüstem Pasha and today displaying the works of masters of Oltu stone. Here, we learn about the processing of Oltu stone, one of Erzurum’s symbols, and guests who wish to do so have the opportunity to shop. We then continue discovering Erzurum’s historical texture. We see the Three Tombs, important works from the Anatolian Seljuk period, panoramically, and listen to our guide’s explanations during our visit to the Double Minaret Madrasa, one of the city’s symbols. After receiving information from our guide about this structure, which inspires admiration with its stonework and architectural details, we will see another important historical monument of Erzurum, the Yakutiye Madrasa. Following our city tour, we proceed to our restaurant for the famous Cağ Kebab, one of the first flavors that comes to mind when Erzurum is mentioned. Guests who wish may sample Cağ Kebab, one of the region’s most special dishes, here. After our meal break, we depart for Erzurum Airport. Once our baggage and check-in procedures are completed, we begin our return journey to Istanbul on the scheduled 22:10 flight of AJet Airlines.
