A story on every stone, a memory in every street
Girne – Kyrenia Castle – Girne Old Town – Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque – Kyrenia – Bellapais Monastery – Kyrenia Harbor – Nicosia – Selimiye Mosque – Büyük Han 2 Nights Accommodation Round-trip | FlightAfter arriving at Ercan Airport, we meet with our guide and transfer vehicle to begin our North Cyprus tour. Following a brief briefing at the airport, we head towards Gazimağusa. We start the day pleasantly with a short breakfast stop along the way.
The first stop of our tour is Closed Maraş, one of the most striking and mysterious regions of Cyprus. Once one of the Mediterranean's most popular holiday resorts, Maraş was abandoned after 1974 and remained closed for many years. During our visit to this area, also known today as the "Ghost City", we have the opportunity to closely observe the abandoned hotels, buildings, and the region's story from the past to the present.
After our tour of Closed Maraş, we move to the Gazimağusa Surlariçi district. While walking through the city surrounded by historic walls dating back to the Middle Ages, we explore Gazimağusa's historical fabric up close.
During our walk, we see the Namık Kemal Dungeon, where Namık Kemal, an important figure in Cypriot literature, stayed during his exile years. Next, we visit the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque, originally built as St. Nicholas Cathedral and later converted into a mosque during the Ottoman period; it is now one of Gazimağusa's iconic landmarks.
Continuing our tour, we view the historic Gazimağusa Port and continue exploring the city's historical atmosphere. After our historical tour, we take a coffee break and free time at Petek Pastanesi, one of Cyprus's beloved culinary stops. Guests who wish can try traditional Cypriot sweets here.
After our free time, we proceed to our hotel for accommodation. Upon arrival at the hotel, we complete our check-in procedures. You are free to spend the rest of the day according to your own preferences. Thanks to the Ultra All-Inclusive accommodation concept, you can relax and unwind from the day's fatigue by enjoying the hotel's restaurants, pools, and other facilities.
